Do I need digital cable in order to use a DVR? - standalone dvr
Looking to buy a separate DVR service is free TiVo Basic already included. Can I at my TV, which is driven by basic cable, or do I have to buy the digital cable?

My first thought was that all Digital Cable is now. So just connect and see if it works or call your cable company and ask.
